Marlins’ Jennings: ‘We’re Only One or Two Pieces Away’

The Miami Marlins (50-74) possess the second worst record in Major League Baseball and are on pace to lose nearly 100 games in 2015.

Yet their management — from the owner to the president — remain confident.

So confident that GM-turned-manager Dan Jennings thinks they’re “only one or two pieces away to go with these really talented kids,” according to the Miami Herald.

And the leadership above him remains steadfast.

“The core of our team we still believe in,” Marlins President David Samson said. “The core is here. It’s a crazy game. Baseball is a hard sport.
