Marlins hire Gary Denbo

The mere presence of Derek Jeter in the front office for the Marlins is already paying dividends, just one full week into his tenure as part-owner of the franchise.

Yesterday, one source confirmed that there was truth behind the long-standing rumor that Yankees Vice President of Player Development Gary Denbo would join his old friend, and former colleague, in South Florida all along, as the 56 year-old clocked-out of Yankee Stadium for the last time.

While Denbo has been hired to primarily fill the void Jeter created by getting David Samson to controversially fire Marc DelPiano, among others, before even taking over the franchise, there is reason to be excited about acquiring his services due to what he has been able to accomplish in three short years in a similar position with New York.
