Marlins Get Swept In A Series That Started In April

The series technically started in April, but it ended with the Marlins getting swept for the fifth time in the second half.

After a 4-3 loss to the Mets on Thursday, the Marlins are now a season-low 24 games below .500 and 16 games out of first place.

Both the Marlins and Mets hit home runs on the first pitch their lead-off hitters saw, the first time that has happened in the pitch-count era (since 1988).

For the Marlins, it was Miguel Rojas who got the party started with a 401-foot blast to left off Mets starter Carlos Carrasco.
