It was the type of night many people expected from the Marlins this year. Inconsistent pitching, coupled with an ineffective offense and sub-par defense, resulted in a 6-0 loss against the Chicago Cubs.
The loss gave the Marlins their third series sweep of this young season, and dropped them to a league-worst 4-15.
Much like his last start, Sandy Alcantara was done in by one bad inning. After recording two outs in the 3rd, Sandy proceeded to allow five straight hits and four runs. Although he lost his command in the inning, some runs could be attributed to the defense.
