The Marlins have not slowed down this offseason as they prepare to take part n free agency. Players have signed with other teams, but that does not mean the front office has taken their eyes off potential stars to add to the team’s sluggish lineup from a year ago.
As Joe Frisaro of MLB.com wrote, the Marlins and other MLB teams are preparing for the MLB Owners’ Meetings which take place Dec. 9-12 in San Diego. Business should pick up then as potential deals are discussed and the Marlins front office can get a feel for what it might take to acquire a hitter or two.
