Marlins Express Interest In Veteran Closer Rafael Soriano

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Marlins are in need of some stability at the back of their bullpen and may be looking outside of the organization for help.

Following Steve Cishek’s fourth blown save in seven opportunities, including two in back-to-back games, manager Mike Redmond has already said that he’s going to give someone else an opportunity to close games.

Unfortunately for the Marlins, there isn’t anyone else in their bullpen with much experience in the closer role.

While Redmond plans to mix and match with guys like A.J. Ramos, Mike Dunn and Bryan Morris, the front office is exploring other possibilities.
