The Marlins led all MLB teams in bullpen usage during the opening week of the 2018 season, and they’re reportedly close to adding a reinforcement to the tired relief corps. Right-hander Dustin McGowan is nearing a deal to return to Miami, according to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish.
You remember D-Mac. Nobody on the Fish except Kyle Barraclough racked up more pitching appearances (118 G) from 2016-2017. During that stretch, he posted a 3.86 ERA and 4.52 FIP with 127 strikeouts in 144 2⁄3 innings pitched.
