The Marlins landed a big bat on Monday, as ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that they’ve claimed Jesús Aguilar off waivers from the Rays (Mark Feinsand of MLB.com has confirmed the news).
First baseman Jesús Aguilar has been claimed by the Miami Marlins, sources tell ESPN. Aguilar was designated for assignment earlier this week by Tampa Bay. There's a clear path to the first-base job for him.

With the MLB non-tender deadline approaching at 8 p.m. ET, the Marlins’ 40-man roster is full, so there will need to be a corresponding move.
