Was it intentional or not?
That question continued to spark passionate reactions from current and former players, coaches and fans throughout the baseball world a day after Marlins’ pitcher Jose Urena nailed Braves’ rising star Ronald Acuna Jr. on the left elbow with the first pitch he threw in Wednesday night’s game at SunTrust Park.
The incident sparked both benches to clear twice before another pitch was thrown in the bottom of the first inning and Urena to be ejected. Atlanta manager Brian Snitker, was also ejected as he and multiple Braves players and coaches had choice words for Urena after it happened.
