The Marlins acquired infielder Christian Colon off waivers from the Royals, the team announced Tuesday.
Since losing Miguel Rojas and Martin Prado, the Marlins have reportedly been seeking external options for infield help. Kansas City designated Colon for assignment after a slow start over seven games.
