We have only a vague idea about who the players on the 2022 Marlins major league roster will be, but the coaching staff responsible for bringing out the best in them seems to be set. Marcus Thames has been hired as the club’s hitting coach, the Miami Herald’s Craig Mish reported on Wednesday, and Al Pedrique is their new third base/infield coach, according to Daniel Álvarez of El Extrabase. Jordan McPherson of the Herald confirmed both additions.
Thames and Pedrique fill the voids left by the departures of Robert Rodríguez and Trey Hillman, respectively.
