Lewis Brinson is headed to the disabled list, but healthy reinforcements are on the way for the Marlins.

The rookie outfielder was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday with a left hip injury that stemmed from a diving catch he made in Colorado more than week ago.

But the Marlins are expected to activate third baseman Martin Prado and outfielder/first baseman Garrett Cooper from the DL on Thursday before the team opens a four-game series in Washington against the Nationals.

"There's more moves obviously coming," manager Don Mattingly said.
