Justin Bour’s career game helps Marlins snap losing streak

Justin Bour showed up a little early to the ballpark earlier this weekend.

He was hitting baseballs off a tee while manager Don Mattingly and hitting coach Mike Pagliarulo each offered insight.

Looks like the extra work might have paid off.

With the Marlins staring at another potential loss to the Pirates, Bour’s bat came alive with four clutch hits including a two-homer that drove in six runs in a 10-3 rout Sunday afternoon.

Bour, who entered the game hitting .184, went 4 for 5 and became the sixth Marlin to ever record four hits and six RBI in a game.
