CUTLER BAY (CBSMiami) — Former Florida Marlins pitcher Hansel Izquierdo was arrested Thursday on several charges including driver under the influence and child abuse.
Police said Izquierdo was first observed driving into an oncoming lane to avoid a road detour. He was then seen swerving along the road, according to the arrest report, near Old Cutler Road and Southwest 92nd Avenue.
Once pulled over, Izquierdo allegedly switched seats with a female passenger and denied ever being behind the wheel.
