Marlins shortstop prospect Nasim Nuñez calls in from instructional league to tell Ethan and Ian about his experiences as a pro baseball player so far. The Collins Hill High School product credits his family for supporting his pursuit of this dream and his teammates for making him feeling welcome in this new environment.
Nuñez played 48 games in the rookie-level Gulf Coast League this summer, slashing .211/.340/.251 (84 wRC+) and ranking among the GCL leaders in both stolen bases (28) and runs scored (37). He received a surprise promotion to Short Season A Batavia in late August and served as their regular second baseman during a brief playoff run.
