Tomorrow afternoon, the Miami Marlins will go for their third sweep since May 19th after not sweeping anyone since September, 2017. Their intended victim, the Milwaukee Brewers, are largely expected to challenge for the National League Central title. In fact, they’re only a half-game behind the current division-leading Chicago Cubs, at 34-28. With a run-differential of minus-53, however, praise has been non-existent for the perpetually struggling Marlins.
In tonight’s game, the Miami Marlins again struck in the first inning. Curtis Granderson scampered home on a Starlin Castro groundout for an early lead.
