Mattingly reportedly wants to bring his bench and pitching coaches to Miami.
Don Mattingly was officially introduced as the Marlins' manager Monday, and he has already started thinking about who will join his staff. Mattingly is hoping bench coach Tim Wallach will join him as bench coach in Miami, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman noted Sunday Mattingly was interested in bringing both Wallach and pitching coach Rick Honeycutt to Miami, however adding Wallach might prove to be a challenge. Los Angeles could at the very least consider him a candidate to serve as their manager next season, but if he does not get the job, there might be a good chance he ends up on the Marlins' bench.
