In an attempt to make things as safe for members of the Miami Marlins roster, the staff and the organization, team CEO Derek Jeter has announced that the organization’s Spring Training facility is being shut down.
This isn’t something unexpected as the news of the coronavirus continues to be the major topic worldwide and the instances of cases are on the rise.
“Jeter additionally advised against players participating in any group workouts outside the complex and encouraged them to abide by recommendations from health officials amid the national emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic,” Joe Frisaro wrote.
