MIAMI, Fla.—The Miami Marlins clinched a series win Thursday night with an impressive 11-4 win over the Colorado Rockies. The Marlins offense had a breakout performance as they scored eleven runs on sixteen hits including three home runs. Five different Fish contributed multi-hit games.
Rookie left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers got the start for the Marlins as he continues to pitch well in his rookie season. Rogers pitched seven innings allowing four hits, two runs, one walk and eight strikeouts rising his ERA to a 2.02.
Relief pitcher Ross Detwiler came in relief for Rogers but struggled in his outing.
