The Miami Marlins seem to have missed home.
After a brutal road trip against the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and Pittsburgh Pirates that saw them go 1-8, the Marlins beat up on an easy opponent in the Colorado Rockies.
The Rockies, who came into Tuesday’s game just 4-22 on the road, lucked into a run thanks to a couple of hits in the first inning. They took a 1-0 lead on a Ryan McMahon groundout that scored Garrett Hampson.
With a runner on first in the top of the third inning, Hampson looked like he was about to instill more damage with a hit to left-center field.
