First, a few transactional notes. Second baseman Alvaro Montero was assigned back to the GCL Marlins from the Jupiter Hammerheads. RHP Sam Bordner made the jump from the rookie squad to the Batavia Muckdogs. LHP Zack King, the Miami Marlins 13th round selection this season, was placed with GCL.

The Cakes overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Chasers with 3,244 in the house at Werner Park. Parker Bugg (1-4, 9.00) earned the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless work.
