The Marlins bullpen has not provided relief and struggled in crucial situations this year.
The scene was not pretty Monday night as Marlins closer Steve Cishek emerged for the bullpen with a 1-0 lead over the New York Mets. Upon entering the game, Cishek surrendered three hits including a three-run home run off the bat of Daniel Murphy that would eventually prove to be the knockout-punch in the 3-1 loss. The loss game Cishek his third blown save on the young season.
While Cishek has been inconsistent, the entire Marlins bullpen has struggled to make the transition from spring.
