Infielder Starlin Castro has only been with the Marlins for a month, making his way to the roster as part of the Giancarlo Stanton trade that has served as one of the many big moves early in Derek Jeter’s tenure as owner.
Apparantly, he wants his time with the team to be short.
As was first reported by The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and confirmed by the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the 27-year-old Castro wants to be traded from the Marlins. Rosenthal reported, according to sources, that Castro does not want to be part of another rebuilding process, similar to the one the Chicago Cubs underwent when he was with the team from 2010 to 2015.
