A Bullpen Failure: Miami Marlins Fall Short of Sweep

Sandy Alcantara turned in a Quality Start, lasting six innings and surrendering only two hits and no runs. He also walked five and struck out only three, placing 55-of-98 pitches over the plate. Unfortunately, the Miami Marlins bullpen couldn’t hold the lead, giving up three runs over the last three innings.

Tayron Guerrero was charged with a blown save, recording one out and surrendering a run on two hits. Adam Conley (1-5, 7.08) continued his difficult season, giving up the other two runs to the Giants on a hit and a walk.
