The Miami Marlins have a useful retractible roof at Marlins Park which usually allows them to escape the bipolar weather of the South Beach area. However, that wasn't the case during the team's 2-1 Opening Day loss to the Atlanta Braves.
Courtesy of Bleacher Report:
Apparent miscommunication amongst staffers at Marlins Park led to a rain delay -- despite the fact that the team has a perfectly good $50 million retractable roof. The delay was eventually curtailed by closing the roof, but not before Marlins president David Samson got a quip in.

Samson on rain delay: "I can only say we made a memory, and we always promise we're going to make memories." #Marlins
