For months, the new-look Hurricanes have waited to see how all of their changes in personnel, in attitude, and even in scheme, would fare against an opponent.
And though they had to endure yet another wait during their opener against Bethune-Cookman, the Hurricanes learned a few things about themselves on Saturday night against the Wildcats.
Among those lessons? It turns out they can score – in bunches.
After waiting out a 75-minute weather delay that disrupted the second quarter, the Hurricanes came back on the field and scored three touchdowns in a little more than two minutes en route to a 45-0 win over Bethune-Cookman in the newly renovated Sun Life Stadium.
