All season long the University of Miami has been pointing toward winning an ACC Coastal Division title.
Saturday's one-sided 59-21 defeat at North Carolina dropped the Hurricanes into a three-way tie for third in the Coastal with Duke and Virginia Tech — three games behind the now-No. 12 Tar Heels (9-1, 6-0) with two games to play.
When asked about not reaching their goal, interim head coach Larry Scott on Sunday said the 2015 season should not be classified as a "failure."
"We've been through a lot this season," Scott said on his weekly Sunday teleconference.
