Last season, Brevin Jordan burst onto the scene — becoming an instant star. Will Mallory, another freshman tight end, developed into a solid contributor. Brian Polendey also looked good early on — but was lost to a season-ending injury in just the second game of his Sophomore year. In addition to Polendey’s injury, Michael Irvin II was injured for the entire regular season — only making an appearance against Wisconsin in the Pinstripe Bowl.
In the end, we didn’t get to see much of the Jordan-Mallory-Polendey ’three-headed monster.’
Under a new offensive scheme, Miami fans are hoping to see players flourish and reach their full potential — exactly what Will Mallory is doing.
