CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore tight end Jerome Washington announced today that he has elected to leave the Hurricanes’ football program in order to pursue other options.
“Jerome is a wonderful young man and I wish him the very best with his future endeavors,” said head coach Mark Richt. “I fully support his decision to step away from football and I look forward to watching his career path unfold.”
Washington saw action in nine games as a freshman in 2015, seeing most of his action on special teams.
