Mark Richt has made recruiting a priority since being named Miami's coach earlier this month and already, his efforts are landing the Hurricanes some top prospects.
This weekend, Miami picked up a verbal commitment from Santaluces linebacker Zach McCloud and on Monday evening, Vero Beach defensive end Patrick Bethel announced his commitment to Miami on Twitter.
"I would like to announce that after prayer and discussion with my parents, I have decide[d] to commit to the University of Miami," wrote Bethel, the son of former Hurricanes tight end Randy Bethel. "I would like to thank all the schools that have been gracious enough to offer me a scholarship.
