Ahmmon Richards wasn't quite sure what to expect in the first road game of his college career.
He ended up putting up numbers no other Hurricanes freshman receiver ever has.
Richards, who had four catches for 142 yards in Miami's 45-10 win over Appalachian State was on Monday named an ACC Co-Rookie of the Week for his performance. He shares the honor with Georgia Tech's Dedrick Mills, who had three touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets' 38-7 win over Vanderbilt.
Richards is the first Hurricane to earn ACC weekly honors this season and two of his biggest catches came after he had a third-quarter drop on a key series.
