Count Miami Hurricanes coach Mark Richt among those against NFL draft-eligible players skipping bowl games.
With his team getting ready to face West Virginia in the Russell Athletic Bowl, Richt said Tuesday he is no fan of prospects leaving their teams weeks before playing in the postseason. Recently, running backs Christian McCaffrey of Stanford and LSU's Leonard Fournette announced they would not play in their respective bowl games.
Both are projected as first-rounders in next spring's NFL draft.
"I think it's sad, personally," Richt said. "I think football is the greatest team sport there is, and I think until the season is over, you should be with your team, really and truly.
