UM's Golden isn't interested in looking back--but he knows 2014 wasn't good

In recent weeks, there’s been plenty of talk about some of the internal issues that some players say plagued the Hurricanes during their disappointing run to a 6-7 showing last year.

But Tuesday at the ACC’s annual preseason kickoff event, Hurricanes coach Al Golden made it clear – more than once – that he’s not interested in discussing last year. He’s trying to move Miami forward, a mantra that quarterback Brad Kaaya and linebacker Raphael Kirby stressed on Monday too.

Golden declined to comment when asked about some comments former Hurricanes lineman Shane McDermott made during a recent radio appearance where he cited selfishness on last year’s team and said this year’s team was more united than others in the past.
