Brad Kaaya has always had an appreciation for football history, particularly Hurricanes football history.
But even he was taken aback earlier this month when realizing just how long it’s been since a Miami quarterback was a regular contributor on an NFL team, how long it’s been since one’s been drafted.
It’s his turn now to change all of that, even if he had to wait a little longer than he expected to get the call.
Kaaya, the all-time leading passer in Hurricanes history, was selected by the Lions with the 215th pick, going in the sixth round Saturday.
