Hurricanes defensive lineman Al-Quadin Muhammad, a rising redshirt junior, announced via social media on Wednesday that he plans to return to Miami next season.
Muhammad, who finished the season with 31 tackles and three sacks in eight games, gives the Hurricanes a solid rush end that could shine as Miami moves to a 4-3 defense under new coach Mark Richt and new defensive coordinator Manny Diaz.
"No days off, getting ready for next season at the University of Miami. I am returning!!!!" Muhammad posted on Instagram, along with a short video clip of him working in a weight room while sporting Hurricanes gear.
