University of Miami senior center Nick Linder has left the Hurricanes football program.
Linder, a 6-3, 298-pound offensive lineman out of St. Thomas Aquinas High, will sit out this season and transfer to another football program, according to UM football coach Mark Richt.
“Nick is going to sit out this season, he’s going to go home I think and train for one semester and then he’s going to transfer somewhere else,’’ Richt said Monday after practice. “He’s a graduate transfer. He graduates in a couple days.
“He’s going to graduate, he’s going to work out from what he told me and then he’s going to go somewhere else to finish his career.
