The Miami Hurricanes' already highly ranked recruiting class of 2019, nicknamed #Surge19, has not yet secured a quarterback.
But coach Mark Richt and his quarterbacks coach, son Jon Richt, are working on it — overtime.
Their coveted target: 6-3, 190-pound Michael Johnson Jr., rated the fourth best dual-threat quarterback in the nation for 2019 and a much-wanted player by dozens of major programs, including Miami, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Florida and Florida State.
Late Thursday night, the Under Armour All-American out of Sheldon High in Eugene, Oregon, announced live on radio that he has picked Miami as one of seven finalists for his services.
