There’s no doubt things are as tough for the Hurricanes as they’ve been all season.
Miami has lost two straight. Its offense is struggling to produce and its defense, which was decimated by dismissals, a suspension and injuries to start the season, healed – only to have stars get hurt again.
Against all those odds, the Hurricanes head to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech in a game that is essentially a must-win for both during a short week that, in Miami’s case, didn’t give the Hurricanes much of a chance to catch their breath or recover physically after two bruising losses to Florida State and North Carolina over the course of the last two weeks.
