CORAL GABLES — Tyrique Stevenson isn’t used to sitting out when his team is working, but the Hurricanes’ standout cornerback had to miss Miami’s spring practice following shoulder surgery.
Stevenson, a Miami native, is back on the field this fall as he begins his second year with his hometown Hurricanes.
“It feels great,” Stevenson said after UM’s second fall practice on Saturday. “I never sat out for a long period of time like that. Just being able to be back out here, be around my brothers and be able to put the cleats on and do the simple things, I’m just very grateful for it.
