Brad Crawford of 247 Sports named Tyler Van Dyke on his list of “Quarterbacks with most to prove during 2023 season.” After winning the ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, Van Dyke was unable to live up to sizable expectations entering the 2022 season.
Injuries and ineffectiveness hindered Van Dyke in 2022. Under new offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, Van Dyke enters the 2023 season with far more muted expectations. Van Dyke completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2021.
