Miami Hurricanes defensive ends Greg Rousseau and Quincy Roche were named to the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award — presented to college football’s most outstanding defensive player at the end of the season.
Rousseau, a redshirt sophomore, is coming off a 2019 season in which he won the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year honor and was All-ACC first team. Rousseau was second nationally in sacks (15 1/2) and had 19 1/2 tackles for loss — both led the ACC.
Roche transferred to Miami as a redshirt senior after a standout career at Temple. He had 137 tackles, 39 1/2 for loss, and 26 sacks as an Owl.
