Walter Camp was one of the early pioneers of American Football. He was a player, coach and sports writer covering the sport. The selection to the Camp Award Watchlist is the fourth of2018 for Johnson and the third for Richards. Six Miami Hurricanes have been named 17 times to watchlists for 2018.
Johnson and Richards are one of only five pairs of teammates nationwide to be selected to the watch list for the Camp Award. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and TCU are the other four schools.
Richards was previously selected to the watch list for Maxwell Award that honors the nation’s best overall player and the Biletnikoff Award for the nation’s best receiver.
