Two Miami Hurricanes await call from Pro Football Hall of Fame

Lewis and James are two of 18 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. They are trying to join the other six Miami Hurricanes in the Hall of Fame.

Linebacker/defensive end Ted Hendricks, wide receiver Michael Irvin, quarterback Jim Kelly, center Jim Otto, and defensive tackles Cortez Kennedy and Warren Sapp hall all been enshrined in Canton.

Lewis is contending for a bust in Canton along with former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher. There is no question that both will be inducted at some point. It remains to be seen if both can become first-ballot Hall of Famers.
