Morgan holds the career record for tackles. Lewis had 91 solos and 152 total tackles in 1994. He had 96 and 160 in 1995.
Lewis was named a first-team AP All-American after the ’95 season. He was the runner-up in the Butkus Award honoring the nation’s best linebacker. Illinois’ Kevin Hardy beat him by one vote.
His total amount of tackles in 1994 and ’95 are the second and fourth most for a single season in Miami history.
