Former Miami players Jessica Thomas and Keyonna Hayes were undrafted free agents. Adrienne Motley was cut from the Minnesota Lynx after being a third-round pick in the WNBA draft.
Thomas went 1-7 from the floor with two assists and three turnovers in two preseason games for the San Antonio Stars. Motley and Hayes didn’t get a chance to play for the Lynx and Indiana Fever respectively.
Speaking to Michelle Kaufman of the Miami Herald about her impressions of the differences between the WNBA and college, Thomas said:
“It’s really intense…It’s a different pace, no wasted movements, different atmosphere.
