This 6-4 eighth-grader was offered a scholarship by his famous Miami Hurricanes uncle

Does anybody have a good nickname for the University of Miami recruiting class of 2022?

We thought not, as Hurricanes coach Mark Richt has made his first scholarship offer for that class, and to someone he knows intimately — his nephew Jake Johnson, a baby-faced, all-around eighth-grade athlete who stands 6-4 1/2 and weighs 190 according to his Twitter account.

Johnson, who attends Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia, also has a famous father: former Florida State quarterback Brad Johnson, who is married to Mark Richt’s sister, the former Nikki Richt, who played volleyball for the Seminoles.
