Everyone seems to be all doom and gloom about the Miami Hurricanes so I figured I'd share an old story about the FSU-Miami rivalry that should make you all chuckle. This story is from '89 and was originally posted on USA Today a few years ago. I dug it up from the backyard and present it to you now for your own amusement, please see below:
It's Miami-Florida State week, which is a reason to remember one of the more ridiculous stories of an epic rivalry: When the Hurricanes' mascot Sebastian the Ibis was detained at Doak Campbell Stadium during pregame in 1989.
