The expectations for the Hurricanes coming into their game at Appalachian State weren’t exactly high.
Despite their No. 25 ranking in the AP Top 25, they were just a 4-point favorite. And more than a few national college football analysts – including ESPN’s Lee Corso – picked them to lose at Kidd Brewer.
It’s hard to believe that didn’t exactly sit well with Miami’s players, including quarterback Brad Kaaya, who was captured by cameras with his finger in front of his mouth shushing the record crowd of 34,658 fans that crowded into every available spot at Appalachian State’s home field.
