After starting the 2023 season 4-0, the Syracuse Orange then proceeded to drop five in a row. The Orange managed to upset Pitt with Dino Babers still serving as head coach. After losing to Georgia Tech, Babers was fired the following morning.
Over eight seasons Babers final record was 41-55 (20-45 in the ACC). Babers best season at Syracuse was in 2018 where the Orange finished 10-3 and knocking off West Virginia in the Camping World Bowl.
Now the Orange are led by Fran Brown, a 42-year-old career assistant coach.
