The South Florida Bulls ended the 2023 season with a record of 7-6 (4-4 in the American). New head coach Alex Golesh guided the Bulls to their first winning season since 2019, and compiled more wins in year one than former USF head coach Jeff Scott managed in three seasons in Tampa, FL.
The 39-year-old Golesh managed a Boca Raton Bowl win in his first season ever as a head coach at any level. The Moscow (as in Russia) native broke in as a high school coach before before coaching at nine different FBS programs in 20 years.
